cancer Biomedical Informatics Grid at Georgetown University

Welcome to Georgetown's caBIG™ Site

The cancer Biomedical Informatics Grid's vision is to provide a research infrastructure where all of the National Cancer Institute's cancer centers will be linked together, enabling scientists and researchers to share information tools.

Georgetown University is engaged in designing the network architecture, developing systems that manage drug trials and integrating cancer researchers in the community.

caBIG™ is working to develop or modify tools that redefine patient care leading to greater interaction between biomedical research and patients.

caBIG™ will allow research material to be accessed in real time by all members, thereby minimizing delays associated with publishing new findings.
